Tap Simulator: Reborn rebirth guide
How to rebirth in Tap Simulator: Reborn: when the rebirth panel unlocks, what each rebirth costs and pays, and what progress you keep.
A rebirth in Tap Simulator: Reborn is a single button press once you can afford it. When the next rebirth is within reach, a rebirth icon appears on the HUD, the panel shows the coin price for each rebirth batch, and buying one immediately raises your rebirth counter, pays gems, and lifts your per-tap multiplier. The tradeoff: the displayed coin price is spent, so you save up again for the next tier — while your pets, islands, gem upgrades and game passes stay untouched.
What Rebirth does
Rebirth is one of the game's headline systems — the official description pairs it with tapping, hatching and islands ("Rebirth to get even stronger"), and the tutorial steers every new player toward it. One rebirth feeds three things:
- A rebirth count. Each rebirth adds to a lifetime total that your profile tracks (one profile readout shows "2K rebirths" next to pet power) and the leaderboards rank alongside pet power and secret hatches.
- Gems. The panel states gems are paid for every rebirth. Gems are the currency of the gem-upgrade skill tree, home of the auto clicker and other staples.
- A bigger multiplier. Your rebirth total raises the click/coin multiplier shown in the panel's rebirth benefits section, so coins come in faster.
How to perform your first rebirth
- Tap and save up. The tutorial's goal for new players is explicitly to save up for the first rebirth. In day-one gameplay recorded at launch, the first rebirth displayed a requirement of 800 coins — the number printed on your own icon is the one that counts, and it can change with updates.
- Watch for the rebirth icon. It opens on the HUD once you can afford the next rebirth; the same launch playthrough shows the icon appearing together with that 800-coin requirement.
- Open the panel and press a rebirth button. The plus-one button is enough for a first rebirth.
- Confirm it worked. Your rebirth counter increments, gems land in your balance, and per-tap value rises — one launch-week player jumped straight to 14 coins per tap right after the first rebirth.
If you're still working through the game's first hours, the beginner guide covers everything leading up to this point.
Reading the rebirth panel
The panel holds several controls:
- An auto toggle for automated rebirthing (covered below).
- A gem readout — gems are paid for every rebirth.
- Batch buttons. You start with plus 1, plus 5 and plus 25, and later lines add plus 125, plus 625, plus 3,120, plus 15,000 and larger batches.
- A coin price on every batch. Launch-week examples ranged from 625 rebirths for 4,400 coins to a "big rebirth" priced at 9.77 million coins and 78,000 rebirths for 362 billion. Figures like these scale quickly with balance updates, so treat the price printed on your panel as the current one — the numbers in this guide are October 2026 launch-week observations to recheck after patches.
- A rebirth benefits section showing the multiplier math — the launch-week version displayed a 3x pet multiplier and a 2x rebirth multiplier combining to six coins per tap.
How the next batch buttons unlock
Rebirth buttons form a use-once ladder: a tier opens the next one after you use it.
- Meet the displayed coin price for your current tier.
- Use that tier's button once.
- The next line of rebirth buttons appears.
- Repeat, working up to the largest batch you can afford.
What a rebirth costs — and what you keep
The cost is the coin price displayed on the batch you buy: each batch takes its displayed price, and coins then have to be re-earned for the next tier — late-game players talk about saving back up to 1.4 trillion coins for a single batch.
Everything else stays. Across repeated rebirth loops in launch-week playthroughs, players kept the same pets, golden crafts, gem upgrades, islands and game passes while auto rebirth ran for tens of thousands of rebirths, and profile readouts taken right after large rebirths showed both counters climbing — over 2 million rebirths and 12 million gems — with pets, eggs and islands intact.
Since coins are the one thing you burn, coin income is the real bottleneck between rebirths. The coins guide covers earning them faster.
What each rebirth pays
- Gems. Rebirthing is the main early gem source: one day-one player asked where gems come from, answered "my first rebirth," and immediately spent them on the 20-gem auto clicker. A launch-week batch of five rebirths paid 47 gems. Payouts per rebirth scale with progression, so expect your own numbers to differ.
- A higher multiplier. Per-tap value rose to 14 immediately after a first rebirth at launch, and players sum up the loop as getting "way more multipliers and then we just get money way faster."
Auto rebirth
Once rebirthing becomes routine, the gem-upgrade skill tree can do it for you:
- Buy auto rebirth in the skill tree. It's a gem purchase — one creator notes it used to be a paid game pass in the previous game and is now bought with gems. Early footage describes its gem cost inconsistently, so check the current price in your own skill tree.
- Turn it on from the rebirth panel.
- Set the target batch size. Observed settings include 125, 625, 3.12k and 15,000 rebirths; players raise the target for a better click multiplier.
- Let it run. Auto rebirth fires whenever the coin price is met, banking rebirths and gems while you're away.
One caution from launch play: a creator believed auto rebirth fired while he was collecting a chest's coin reward, costing him the payout. If you're counting on it around timed rewards, double-check the timing.
Rebirth questions
Do rebirths reset pets, eggs or islands?
No. Recorded playthroughs show pets (including golden crafts), eggs, islands, game passes and gem upgrades all surviving repeated rebirths. Only the displayed coin price of each batch is spent.
What are the requirements for a rebirth?
Coins. Each batch on the rebirth panel displays its price, and that price is the requirement — 800 coins for the first rebirth at launch, with later batches running into the millions and billions. Whatever your panel shows right now is the number to save toward.
How often should you rebirth?
You can rebirth again whenever you can afford the next batch's displayed price — players bank tens of thousands of rebirths this way with auto rebirth. The rhythm that pays off best depends on your goals, so once the core rule is clear — pay the displayed price, gain rebirths, gems and multiplier — the rebirth strategy guide takes over that question.
