Tap Simulator: Reborn Rebirth Strategy – When to Rebirth
Know when to rebirth in Tap Simulator: Reborn. Compare observed costs, gem payouts and reset tradeoffs across the tier ladder to pick a cadence for your stage.
In Tap Simulator: Reborn, every rebirth pays gems and adds multiplier steps — and every rebirth wipes the coins you have banked. That tradeoff, not one magic number, decides the timing. The cadence that holds up across live playthroughs:
- Early game: rebirth as soon as you can afford it, and spend the gems on the auto clicker and then auto rebirth.
- Mid game: park auto rebirth on the highest tier you consistently reach and step the threshold up as you grow.
- Coin-gated stretches: stop resetting often and save for one big rebirth.
- End game: taps stop mattering, so cadence becomes auto-rebirth volume, especially while you are away.
Recalculate whenever a new rebirth tier unlocks or the next island's price becomes your goal.

What a rebirth decision comes down to
Three observed rules drive the sooner-versus-later question.
What rebirths pay. Gems and multiplier steps. In one early session, the very first rebirth took click value to 14 per click, and saving roughly 10,000 coins bought five rebirths that paid 47 gems — 20 of which went straight into the auto clicker. Later, one player farmed 3,120 plus 625 rebirths for about 50,000 gems to afford a double jump, and another batched rebirths into 80 million gems that paid for every upgrade they had missed. By the end game the loop is explicit: players rebirth to farm the gems that feed the gem-upgrade machine.
What rebirths reset. Your banked coins. The clearest demonstration: a player opened a chest worth about a billion coins just as a rebirth fired, and the payout never arrived ("did I rebirth as I was getting the coins? That sucks."). Resetting early also forfeits the eggs, upgrades and island purchases you were saving toward. The flip side is that coins spent right before a deliberate reset are not wasted — one player bought pets and upgrades down to nearly zero first, saying "I just wasted all that money, but I don't care. I think the most important thing is just to get gems."
Which tier you can reach. Rebirth options come in batches, and the rebirth menu lets you select which batch to take. Higher tiers cost more coins, and the ladder is progressive: a tier opens after you have used the previous one.
The tier ladder, with observed costs
| Stage | Observed rebirth option | Observed cost or note |
|---|---|---|
| Starter island | 125-rebirth batch | A 625-rebirth run followed quickly once the auto clicker was running |
| Fresh-account price check | 625 rebirths | 4,400 coins |
| Unlock behavior | Next rebirth line | Opens after the previous tier has been used once |
| Sky island to autumn | Auto rebirth stepped 625 → 3.12k | Taken for better click multipliers; 15.6K collected next, while 78.12K and 390K were judged "definitely not ready yet" |
| Autumn island | 78,000 rebirths | About 362 billion coins |
| Desert and later | Auto rebirth set at 70,000, then 300,000 | A 7 QD tap stock converted into 9 million rebirths at once |
| End game | Single 9.77M option | The player passed 12M total rebirths, holding 70M gems |
These numbers come from individual recorded sessions, so treat the ladder's shape as the durable part and the exact prices as balance-sensitive — the Updates page tracks recent patches worth rechecking against.
Auto rebirth runs the cadence
Auto rebirth is how players keep fast rebirths running without sitting on the button. It is a gem-shop purchase — observed at 2.5k gems in one early check, with another player spending about 3k and calling it "beneficial." You set a threshold and it fires whenever your rebirth counter reaches it: a fresh account set 125 and watched it trigger on its own, and one player summed up the plan as "put auto rebirth for like 3k rebirths now — every time we reach it, we will in fact get there."
The growth lever is stepping the threshold up. One player moved auto rebirth from 625 to 3.12k "just so we can get better click multipliers"; another set it on the top option because "I need a really high multiplier. Right now, my multiplier is pretty low."
It also converts dead time into progress. One player set auto rebirth for 15,000 while doing other content, came back to 33,000, and later returned from an AFK stretch with 270,000 — enough to buy "literally everything" in the gem upgrades. Another left the game running overnight, auto-rebirthing in the best area, after falling behind on the leaderboard.
Whether to buy it early is a preference split, not a rule: several day-one players grabbed auto rebirth as soon as they could afford the gems, while another skipped it entirely ("I absolutely do not need auto rebirth") and only considered it situationally later.
A cadence for each stage
Early game — reset as soon as you can afford it. Players took the first rebirth the moment it was affordable and bought the third "right there and then"; one fresh account called getting 25 rebirths the most important thing to do. The gems immediately fund the auto clicker and then auto rebirth, which starts the loop everything else feeds.
Mid game — make rebirth the growth loop. "If we get enough rebirth, we can like get way more multipliers and then we just get money way faster." Keep auto rebirth parked on the highest tier you reach, step it up whenever the next line opens, and pour the gems into upgrades that raise coin income — that income feeds the next threshold faster.
Coin-gated stretches — save instead of resetting often. When the next area or purchase is priced in huge coin sums, frequent small resets stop paying. One player in the mushroom stretch concluded, "I think we got to save up for a big rebirth... Big rebirth is what we need," and a player on the autumn stretch deferred rebirthing until holding 1.4 trillion coins. Before a planned big reset, spend spare coins on eggs and upgrades — they would be wiped otherwise. And mind payout timing around auto rebirth: a chest worth about a billion coins was lost to a rebirth firing mid-collection, while another player timed a chest redemption to land just barely over the top rebirth option.
End game — cadence becomes volume. "You do definitely get to a point in this game where you don't care about taps." Late-game players run continuous or overnight auto rebirth and measure progress in total rebirths — leaderboard totals observed between 771.66 billion and 9 trillion are the product of that AFK volume, not a cadence to copy. One boundary worth knowing: index rewards were checked and pay only coins and gems, so completing the index will not speed up rebirth gains.
Limits and when to recalculate
- No recorded session tested one large rebirth against many small ones at the same coin spend, so "save for a big rebirth" remains one player's judgment at one stage rather than a proven optimum.
- Every figure here is a single-session observation, mostly from release-week play; expect thresholds and prices to move with balance patches.
- Recalculate your cadence when a new rebirth tier button unlocks, when the next island unlock price becomes your goal, when you are choosing between an egg or upgrade purchase and a reset, or when a chest payout is about to land.
If any reset consequence is unfamiliar, the Rebirth guide covers the basic mechanics before you commit to a cadence. Rebirth timing is one axis of progression — the wider island-by-island route is covered in the fast progression guide, and a quick check of the current codes is worthwhile before long grind sessions.
