Tap Simulator: Reborn How to Hatch Secret Pets

The verified Secret pet sources in Tap Simulator: Reborn, how to attempt a hatch, and which odds the game actually displays — no invented rates.

Secret pets in Tap Simulator: Reborn come from a short, verified list of sources: the cactus egg, the pumpkin egg, the crystal-cave Geode eggs, the void egg, the limited-time Chronus egg — and the Secret pity, which can pay out a Secret no matter which egg you're opening. Attempting a Secret is a volume game: reach one of those eggs, generate as many hatches as you can with auto hatch (it keeps running offline at 1/4 speed), keep your pet storage clear, and stack every documented luck boost. No hatch count guarantees a Secret, and for most eggs the game won't even show you the Secret — or its odds — until you've collected everything else in that egg.

Eggs that can hatch a Secret

These are the Secret sources confirmed in actual gameplay footage of the game:

Secret sourceWhere to find itOdds known so far
Cactus eggDesert areaNot visible in the footage
Crystal Geode eggsCrystal cave area, two eggs1 in 500,000 and 1 in 2,000,000
Pumpkin eggAutumn/Halloween area1 in 500,000, as read from the index
Void eggFinal shadow area; 15 quadrillion coins for a batch of eightForsaken Knight, 1 in 4,000,000
Chronus eggExclusive shop, 399 Robux, limited timeChronus, 0.1%, displayed on the listing
Secret pityBuilds while you hatch any eggPercentage rises as you hatch (18% and 20% observed); no confirmed guarantee point

Worth knowing before you spend coins:

  • Only the Chronus egg shows its Secret's odds outright in the shop. The other figures became visible only after players completed the surrounding egg rosters, or via the server-wide secret hatches board — where the 1-in-4,000,000 Forsaken Knight, the rarest Secret shown in the footage, was spotted. The void egg is described as the best egg in the game.
  • The Chronus egg is a limited-time shop item, so check what the exclusive shop currently stocks before planning around it.
  • Not every egg contains a Secret. One player fully completed the mushroom egg and found no Secret in it at all, and even a veteran player says he isn't sure whether every egg in the game holds one.
  • Beyond the figures above, revealed Secret odds seen so far run from 1 in 500,000 up to 1 in 4,000,000, including a 1-in-1,000,000 Secret.

Why most eggs hide their Secret

An egg's Secret stays hidden — in the egg UI and in the index — until you've collected every other pet that egg can produce. Players in the footage keep hitting this wall: one was convinced the cactus egg held a Secret but the game "won't show me because I don't even have all the pets," and another only became able to see, and hatch, Secrets after completing an entire egg's roster.

The practical consequence: choose your egg from the verified sources above rather than from visible percentages, because for most eggs the percentages simply aren't visible yet.

How to attempt a Secret hatch

  1. Reach the egg's area. The game has around six areas, and you progress mostly by jumping up — buy extra double jumps with gems, which are easy to earn. Buying islands directly is possible, but players find the prices far too high to be worth it. The island unlocking guide covers access in detail.
  2. Buy hatches at the egg with coins. Open one, three, or eight eggs at a time; the Octo Hatch game pass unlocks eight-at-once opening. At the top end, a batch of eight void eggs costs 15 quadrillion coins.
  3. Run auto hatch and use the offline trick. Once auto hatch is running you can leave the game immediately — it keeps hatching offline at 1/4 speed. Ten hours away banks roughly what two and a half hours of active hatching would.
  4. Keep storage clear and auto-delete careful. Full pet slots block hatching entirely, and a careless auto-delete can delete pets you don't own yet. The inventory clean-up tool bulk-deletes by rarity while preserving locked, equipped, golden, upgraded and enchanted pets, plus the best two of each. When you're hunting the last missing pets in an egg, switch auto-delete off so it can't delete exactly what you need — the footage shows players doing exactly that.
  5. Stack the documented luck modifiers. None of them is shown producing a Secret on camera, so treat these as ways to raise your rate, not a recipe that triggers one:
    • Shrine blessing: claim it at the shrine after every rejoin. After 30 minutes in a server it climbs to its maximum 1.5x luck on its own.
    • Gambler's Pack enchant: +30% luck from the enchant machine — tick the enchant you want and let it auto-roll.
    • Secret Hunter game pass: labeled "30% easier to hatch secrets," listed at 2,000.
    • Mastery rings: the hatch ring, unlocked at level 100 in the hatch mastery, gives +10% hatch speed and +15% luck; the holy grail ring, for completing every mastery, adds +25% luck and +10% secret luck.
    • Profile badges: grant boosts including egg speed and Secret luck.
  6. Recognize the hit. A Secret arrives with a hold-to-reveal popup, and Secret hatches are announced server-wide on the secret hatches board.

One shop caveat before you buy the passes: one video prices the exclusive shop's game passes in Robux, while another player's purchase appears to draw down his token balance instead. Check which currency your account is actually spending.

If you want the broader hatching mechanics first — egg costs, multi-opening and storage basics — the egg hatching guide covers them.

The Secret pity: a Secret from any egg

Hatching anything builds a Secret pity percentage in the background — observed climbing to 18% and later 20% in the footage. When it fires, the pity display reads as a 50% chance of a Secret from the void egg or a 50% chance of a Secret from previous islands.

This isn't just UI flavor; it's been captured on video. One player's pity fired while he was hatching in the shadow area and awarded an Oasis Spirit, a Secret he believed belonged to the desert. The pity can hand you a Secret from a completely different area than the egg you're opening, which makes it a genuine acquisition route on top of the specific Secret-bearing eggs.

Two limits to set expectations:

  • There is no confirmed guarantee threshold. You may see a "15,000 eggs" figure quoted elsewhere — that's one player wondering aloud what the display meant, not a documented pity counter.
  • How the pity unlocks isn't documented. One late-game player says he still doesn't have it, so it may be a toggle, an unlock, or a pass.

A repeatable Secret-hunting loop

Putting it together for a long session: rejoin, claim the shrine, set auto-delete for the egg you're farming (or switch it off while you're finishing an egg's collection), start auto hatch, and walk away — offline hatching keeps banking attempts while you're gone. Before you settle in, it's worth checking our Codes page for anything currently live.

Every hatch works twice: it's a direct roll at the egg's own Secret, and it pushes the Secret pity percentage higher.

Pin down the Secret you're hunting

Once you've picked a verified source, the Secret pets page helps you identify exactly which Secret you're aiming for. From there it's a grind — but now it's a grind aimed at eggs that actually hold one.
