Tap Simulator: Reborn Beginner Guide — Your First Session
A first-session Tap Simulator: Reborn walkthrough: hatch your starter, earn Coins, open the basic egg, rebirth for gems, then break the bridge onward.
Tap Simulator: Reborn opens on one instruction — hatch your first pet — and from there the game's whole loop unfolds in miniature: tap to earn Coins, hatch eggs for pets, rebirth to get stronger, unlock new islands, and climb toward the #1 tapper spot. The quest tracker walks you through most of the first hour, so your real job is knowing what each gate wants and what it unlocks. Here is the route a fresh account takes, with the values recorded in release-week sessions around the game's October 9, 2026 update.
| Gate | What it asks of you | What it opens |
|---|---|---|
| Hatch your first pet | Tap the egg about five times, then pick and name a starter | Your first pet and free tapping |
| Basic egg | About 100 Coins (the next one about 200) | A kitty (1-in-3, 2x) and the other starters |
| First rebirth | About 800 Coins in one recorded session | Gems per rebirth and a higher Coins-per-tap |
| Auto clicker | 20 gems | Tapping that continues on its own |
| Spotted egg | About 10,000 Coins | Chick (1-in-2, 6x) and deer (1-in-5, 13x) |
| Break the bridge | 700 tap power — then click the bridge itself | Index machine, a ~300,000-Coin egg, the road onward |
| Sky island | 10 million Coins | The first purchasable island (the next lists at 13 billion) |
Treat these numbers as launch-window observations rather than permanent prices — the developers were still tuning the game during its first week.

Hatch your first pet
A new account starts from zero — no rebirths, no eggs hatched — and the very first screen is an egg prompt reading "hatch your first pet." Tap it about five times to fill it (one day-one player counts five taps), and it opens into the starter selection: a loyal and brave dog, a quick and curious cat, or a bouncy and sweet bunny.
Pick whichever one you like. No stat differences between the three starters are documented, and all three species can also hatch later from the basic egg, so the choice doesn't lock you out of anything. You then name your pet — one recording shows a free gift arriving alongside it, though that may not appear for every account — and it follows you around the starting area.
Earn Coins and open the basic egg
Tapping is your only job at the start. Use the on-screen tap button or click anywhere on the map; both raise the Coin counter. If you plan to open several eggs in a row, the egg panel has an auto-open option that saves you reconfirming each hatch.
Follow the quest prompt at the top of the screen: it asks you to open one egg, then hatch another. The first basic egg costs about 100 Coins and the next about 200 in the recorded sessions. A typical early pull is a kitty — 1-in-3 rarity with a 2x multiplier — and every pet you hatch is equipped and multiplies your tapping power, which is why each tap earns more as your team grows. If you want to see what else the early eggs contain before spending, the egg list has the full breakdown, and the Coins guide covers earning in depth.
Rebirth for gems, then buy the auto clicker
Once your Coins pile up, the game prompts your first rebirth. In one day-one session that came at about 800 Coins; other players simply hit the prompt whenever it appears, so treat 800 as an observed example, not a fixed price. The rebirth screen shows +1, +5 and +25 buttons, pays gems for every rebirth, and multiplies Coins per tap — one account went from its starting rate to 14 per click after a single rebirth.
Right after that first rebirth, the tutorial sends you to the gem upgrade panel (the skill tree), where early options include critical clicks and click power. Your first meaningful purchase there is the 20-gem auto clicker: both sessions that bought it rebirthed once or twice more to afford the gems, and once it's running, tapping continues automatically. Keep it on from then on. The rebirth guide explains what each rebirth does in full.
The spotted egg and the bridge
With the auto clicker working, two big targets line up:
- The spotted egg, at about 10,000 Coins. Its pets outclass the basics by a wide margin — recorded pulls include a 1-in-2 chick at 6x and a 1-in-5 deer at 13x. Use the sort options (by Coins, or best for egg luck, clicks, or gems) and equip the strongest combination rather than the newest pets. The egg hatching guide and pet team guide go deeper on both.
- The bridge, at 700 tap power. Reaching the number isn't enough on its own — you have to walk up and click the bridge itself to break it. That drops it open, unlocks the index machine, reveals a new egg costing about 300,000 Coins, and puts the first purchasable island on your map: the sky island at 10 million Coins, with the island after it listed at 13 billion. From 10 million to 13 billion, the curve gets steep fast — see how to unlock islands and the island list for what lies ahead.
What a fresh free-to-play account gets
You don't need Robux to complete this route. The free baseline is four equipped pets and 150 pet storage, and the starting area hides two easy bonuses:
- A breakable chest near the basic eggs pays out 960 Coins — smash it when you pass.
- The gold machine to the left of the basic eggs succeeds 100% of the time once you feed it six pets.
Also keep an eye on the sky: occasional floating event creatures can be grabbed for huge Coin bursts. One day-one session caught a flying pig worth 50,000 Coins — more than the account had earned from tapping to that point — so grab them whenever they drift by, especially on a new account.
Early mistakes worth avoiding
- Don't judge pets by the top number alone. Equip-best is boost-aware: it will keep a slightly weaker pet that carries a useful enchant such as golden touch, because those boosts compound while you hatch.
- Don't grind manually past the first rebirth. The 20-gem auto clicker is cheap by design; get it and let the game tap for you.
- Don't ignore the settings panel. It includes performance options plus hide clicks and hide titles — turn on hide clicks if the tap popups start cluttering the screen.
- Don't expect every HUD button to work yet. Quests, items and profile are visible from the start but locked until your account progresses; the player list works from day one.
- Don't budget long-term around day-one prices. The figures above come from the game's first release-week sessions and can change with any rebalance.
After your first session
If you've named a starter, banked a few rebirths, hatched a spotted-egg team and broken the bridge, you've cleared every early milestone the game sets — and you've earned the right to optimize. The fast progression guide picks up exactly there. And before you spend anything, check the codes page: codes can hand out free boosts, though none were active at the game's October 2026 launch snapshot.
