Tap Simulator: Reborn How to Get All Pets: Source Checklist
An egg-by-egg checklist of confirmed pet sources in Tap Simulator: Reborn, plus variant crafting, the secret-pet pity and notes on unverified entries.
Pet collecting in Tap Simulator: Reborn runs on the in-game pet index, and that machine is where every completion attempt starts. It stays locked until you defeat the bridge at about 700 tap power; after that it splits your collection into normal, golden, diamond and rainbow categories plus hidden secret slots, and shows exactly which entries you are still missing in each. One player's mid-progression readout showed 67 of 80 normal entries and 35 of 65 golden completed, with 2 of 15 secret pets owned as overall completion moved from 51% to 53% — useful reference counts, although the diamond and rainbow tabs did not display comparable totals, so read those two in person when you plan what is left.
The full roster is not written down in one place, and a few pets circulate without a confirmed home. So this page does the most useful job a collector can act on: it maps every confirmed source — the starter pick plus eleven egg sources across the game's zones, about 40 named pets in total — to its documented acquisition action, and it carries explicit notes for the entries that are seen in game but not yet tied to a source. Compare the checklist against your own index, then take your next hatch session to whichever egg still holds missing entries.

Confirmed sources, egg by egg
Every row below is a route you can act on. Egg screens in game show each pool's current odds, and updates shuffle pools and prices, so treat the in-game display as the final word wherever the two disagree. For stat views of the pets themselves, the pet list has you covered, and the egg list tracks costs and locations in one place.
| Source | Where and cost | Confirmed pets | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter pick | Spawn, free | Dog, cat, bunny | You choose one, but all three are obtainable |
| Basic egg | Spawn, cheapest egg | Kitty (1-in-3), bunny (1-in-10), doggy | — |
| Spotted egg | Spawn, 300k coins | Chick (1-in-2), deer (1-in-5), duck, lamb, chicken | The 5%-chance entry can outlast a long grind |
| Spiked egg | Spawn, 900k for three | Bear, wolf, unicorn (151x), golem (1-in-15) | — |
| Nimbus egg | Sky Island | Firefly, piggy, bird, B (1-in-6) | — |
| Sky egg | Sky Island, 25M coins | Tiger (127x), angel (211x), penguin | — |
| Pumpkin egg | Autumn island, 5B coins | Pumpkin doggy, pumpkin kitty, pumpkin cat, raccoon | Halloween seasonal — recheck availability after updates |
| Mushroom island eggs | Mushroom island, 180B and 600B coins | Ant, ladybug, mushroom dog, mushroom bunny, fungi dragon (legendary), mushroom serpent (mythical), Mr. Fungus | Mr. Fungus is the pricier egg's 0.1% entry; even completed, the mushroom egg showed no secret slot |
| Cactus egg | Desert, 1T coins (only egg in the area) | Scorpion (legendary, grants 12,000 coins), scarab (mythical) | The index lists a 0.1% secret entry; one scarab was hatched during a 5x mythic event |
| Crystal Cove eggs | Crystal Cove, two eggs | Crystal dog, plus a golden version | The area also holds the diamond crafting machine |
| Void egg | Shadow Realm (final zone), 15QD per eight hatches | Spider (legendary), void crawler, Cerberus (mythical) | The zone itself costs 19QD clicks to unlock |
| Chronus egg | Shop, limited time, 399 Robux | Two 34% pets, celestial timepiece (26%), Sands of Time (mythical, 6%), Chronus (secret, 0.1%) | Whether shop pets register in the index is not documented |
The working loop: from index readout to next hatch
- Unlock the tracker. Defeat the bridge at about 700 tap power to open the index machine. Milestones pay as you complete categories — one account demonstrably received +40 pet storage, then +5 per further step toward 375–425 slots, plus hatch-speed bonuses, while another player saw only coin and gem payouts — so the reward contents currently look inconsistent; check each milestone's text as you claim it.
- Pick the egg holding your next missing entry. The index lists exactly what is missing per category. Work through the zones in unlock order: spawn, Sky Island, Autumn, Mushroom, Desert, Crystal Cove, then the Shadow Realm.
- Set auto-delete before grinding. Configure it to remove only pets you have already indexed, and switch it off entirely while an egg still has uncollected entries. Storage fills fast until index milestones raise it.
- Stack luck. Claim the shrine blessing and pick luck — it upgrades to tier 2 after 10 minutes in a server and tier 3 after 25, reaching 1.5x. Equip luck enchants such as Gambler's Pack (+30% luck), buy the egg-luck gem upgrades, and save the longest grinds for 5x mythic events.
- Hatch in bulk. Single and triple hatches are free; eight at once needs the octo hatch gamepass. If you have to leave, start auto hatching and quit immediately — the game keeps hatching at quarter speed while you are away, so a 10-hour absence banks roughly what two and a half active hours would. The egg hatching guide covers these systems in more depth.
- Clear the egg, then move on. The last percentages are the slow ones — 0.1% entries sit in the cactus and mushroom eggs — which is exactly where luck stacking and bulk hatching pay off.
Golden, diamond and rainbow variants
The golden, diamond and rainbow indexes track crafted variants separately from the normal index, and each tier has its own machine:
- Golden — the gold machine. Six contributed pets give a 100% success rate; fewer pets lower the chance (a 13% craft was observed) and crafts can fail. Autofill picks the contributors for you.
- Diamond — the Crystal Cove machine. It fires a laser, and the laser's energy, up to 100%, acts as the success chance.
- Rainbow — the rainbow machine. A craft normally takes up to five hours, but loading five diamond pets finishes in about 30 seconds; waiting for the in-game day to end also lets you craft using less than half the pets.
Two extras matter for collectors. Rainbow pets cannot hatch until you collect all 15 shiny stars — two per zone and three in the lobby, mapped in the shiny star locations guide. And with extreme luck, a diamond or rainbow can drop straight out of the gold machine or a hatch — one player was handed a free diamond spider. If you want to speed the variant categories up, the Magic Eggs gamepass guarantees a golden every 20 hatches and roughly one rainbow per 100 hatches, and tokens earned in game can buy gamepasses, so some paid boosts are reachable without Robux. The golden pets page walks through that first crafting tier.
Secrets: the last 15 slots
Leave secrets for last — they are the hardest entries and the ones the index hides longest:
- Secret slots stay hidden until you have hatched every normal pet of that egg; one player could not see the cactus egg's secret until the egg was complete.
- Not every egg has a secret: a fully completed mushroom egg revealed none, while one early egg exposed two slots.
- The guaranteed route is the pity timer: at 15,000 hatches a secret is assured, with a 50% chance of a void-egg secret and 50% of a secret from previous islands. One pity roll produced the 1-in-1M Oasis Spirit, believed to belong to the desert.
- Documented odds include Forsaken Knight at 1-in-4M (the final area's rarest), the shop Chronus at 0.1%, the cactus egg's 0.1% entry, and index slots at 1-in-500k, 1-in-1M and 1-in-2M. One late-game index showed 13 of 15 secrets still missing with 2 owned.
- Luck carries over: hatch during luck events, and the Secret Hunter gamepass makes secrets 30% easier to hatch. The secret-hatches leaderboard tracks server-wide progress, and Cerberus from the void egg remains the best pet you can get without touching secrets.
The Chronus egg is the one secret you can simply buy into — 399 Robux, limited time, with its 0.1% Chronus listed in the shop. Robux pets do not count toward leaderboards, and whether they register in the pet index is not documented, so treat shop pets as a collection bonus rather than guaranteed index progress. When your index points at a secret slot next, the secret pets overview and the how to hatch secret pets walkthrough take over from here.
Seen in game, not yet sourced
A few pets have no confirmed source yet, so keep them as open notes rather than checklist rows:
- Queen Bee — a mythical with a 0.5% readout that several players have hatched without a pinned egg.
- Ducky — glimpsed around the pet-defense area.
- Giant pig and turkey — tied to admin and event moments; whether they return is an update-by-update question.
If your index shows a missing entry this page does not cover, note its category and recheck after the next update — eggs, pools and events have been shifting since launch. Trading is not in the game yet and players expect it to return, which would open routes for entries that are currently stuck.
